Pedro Neto bizarrely clashed with a ball boy in the latter stages of Chelsea's Champions League defeat by PSG.
Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior has warned his ill-disciplined players that they face the axe if they can't get their behaviour in order after yet another red card on Sunday. Pedro Neto was given his marching orders in the second-half as Chelsea lost to Arsenal 2-1 at the weekend‚ marking a ninth red card in all competitions for the Blues this season. Enzo Maresca was also shown a red card when he was manager. The likes of Marc Cucurella‚ Joao Pedro and Moises Caicedo have all been given sent off at one point or another‚ with Chelsea now having seen more than double the number of reds than any other team in England's top flight.
KIERAN GILL AT STAMFORD BRIDGE: Long before Aston Villa realised they were also allowed to attack‚ Chelsea had so many chances to kill this contest‚ but therein lied the problem: they lack killers. Joao Pedro led the line for Enzo Maresca and scored somewhat flukily after Reece James' brilliant cross from a corner nicked his backside. Yet you watch Chelsea‚ you see them create chances galore‚ and rarely do you get that 'they could score here' sense of anticipation in your stomach. It is all so wasteful. Alejandro Garnacho might get himself into a good position‚ only to then balloon the ball into the Shed End. Pedro Neto might skip by his man‚ only to then find nobody with his cross. Chelsea have attackers galore who can nick a goal here and there‚ from Garnacho to Neto to Jamie Gittens to Enzo Fernandez‚ but are craving that ultra clinical finisher.
KIERAN GILL AT CARDIFF CITY STADIUM: If there was one position in Chelsea's first team that was up for grabs in Premier League games‚ it was on the left wing. Enzo Maresca likes Pedro Neto on the right over Estevao Willian. He likes Cole Palmer at No 10 for obvious reasons. But the left? That is there for the taking.
Chelsea climbed to second in the table with a dominant 3-0 victory over Wolves on Saturday - netting three in the second half after a first ever goal from unlikely scorer Malo Gusto. The Frenchman headed the Blues in front after a frustrating first half against the Premier League's biggest strugglers‚ with Joao Pedro and Pedro Neto adding to the scoresheet to hand Enzo Maresca's side a comfortable victory in west London. Daily Mail Sport's KIERAN GILL was at Stamford Bridge to assess Chelsea's performance as they returned to winning ways after Wednesday's 2-2 draw at Qarabag.
