Chelsea are ready to sell Alejandro Garnacho after a single season with the 22-year-old Argentinian not seen since the club's other players returned for pre-training season. Cole Palmer‚ Joao Pedro and the other non-World Cup call-ups reported back at Cobham on Thursday morning to run through their fitness tests and begin working with new manager Xabi Alonso on the pitch. Garnacho is not believed to have been involved in those first sessions held with Alonso. Chelsea did not comment when asked why‚ such as if injury-related or otherwise.

The Argentine added a huge portrait of Heath Ledger's 'Joker' done by artist Ganga across his entire back to add to his collection of pop culture bodywork.

Watching Alejandro Garnacho walk on to the field at Wembley with four minutes to go in the FA Cup Final told us much about Chelsea. Garnacho cost £40million from Manchester United. They thought it was a coup and‚ as so often is the case at Stamford Bridge‚ they were wrong. Four minutes to save a cup final. That kind of sums it up. If temporary coach Calum McFarlane really believed Garnacho had it in him to write Chelsea's name on the trophy‚ he may just have given him a little longer than that. As for Garnacho himself‚ he is still only 21. So we must be careful. Older and wiser and better players than he have been spat out of the Chelsea threshing machine. None of this is his fault.

Garnacho fell out with United on a number of occasions when his time at Old Trafford was coming to an end‚ perhaps most famously with former manager Ruben Amorim when he was berated in front of the first team squad. Now at Chelsea‚ the Argentine has opened up on his regret at how his time at the club ended‚ but that hasn't stopped Butt offering his views on the winger from when they worked together at United. Speaking on The Good‚ The Bad & The Football‚ Butt insisted Garnacho's attitude was a problem from when he joined the club as a teenager - and that he should have been humbled by someone at the club as he made his way through the ranks due to his attitude.
